Game 1

Off to a great start!

Our Varsity girls won our first game against JH Rose with a score of 58-38.  Two players finished with double digit points, Imani Sutton with 13 and Kayla Kent with 18, despite not playing in the first quarter.  As a team we finished with 15 steals, 20 assist and 37 rebounds.   We did have one injury this week with Brianna Tucker out from Saturday’s Jamboree.  So hopefully when she can return we can see even more progress.  The girls did a great job working as a team and I hope to see more of this intensity as we continue.

Out next game will be home next Tuesday against Charles B. Aycock.  Please come out and support these girls in their hard work.

A new season is upon us…

Welcome back players, parents and fans.  The 2017-2018 season is upon us.

We have started try outs this week.  It is a very tough process deciding players fate.  As coaches we look for hard work, discipline, listening skills and athletic ability.  There is an evaluation sheet available to all athletes on their performance, in an effort to improve player abilities. This sheet can be accessed by player request.

In the hopes that your daughter makes the team, we have some upcoming events.

Nov 2nd we will have our fundraising guy discuss one of our fundraising opportunities after practice.

Nov. 11th both JV and Varsity will travel to South Central High School to play in a Jamboree.

Nov. 14th is our FIRST GAME at J. H. Rose in Greenville, NC.

 

I hope to see you all at the games supporting our girls.
